About

Senior engineers,
and nobody else.

ED Consulting Group is a cloud and infrastructure consultancy built on a simple arrangement: the people who scope your work are the people who build it.

Who we are

We are a small team of infrastructure engineers with more than twenty years each in production environments, working across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure. We stay small on purpose. It means every engagement is staffed by someone who has run the kind of system you are asking about, and it means you are never handed to a junior team once the contract is signed.

How we engage

We work remotely and contract on a corp-to-corp or independent basis, which keeps our overhead low and our rates honest. Engagements usually start narrow: a landing zone, a pipeline, an incident review. If that goes well, they grow. We would rather earn the second piece of work than negotiate for it up front.

What you own at the end

Everything we build is delivered as code you own, in your repositories, with documentation written for the engineer who inherits it. No proprietary tooling, no undocumented state, no dependency on us. If your team can run it without calling us, we did the job properly.

Where we are useful

We are a good fit when the problem is real infrastructure: a cloud foundation that needs to be right the first time, a platform that has grown faster than its guardrails, reliability that has become somebody's night job, or an audit that is closer than the evidence. We are a poor fit for staff augmentation by the seat, and we will say so.

How we work

Four things we do not compromise on.

01

Senior by default

The person who scopes the work does the work. No handover to a team you have not met.

02

Code, not slides

Deliverables are Terraform, pipelines and runbooks. A document is what explains them, not what replaces them.

03

No lock-in

We build on the platform primitives you already pay for, and we leave your team able to extend it without us.

04

Honest scope

If an engagement is smaller than you think, or not for us at all, you hear that before you spend anything.

Tell us what you are building.

A few lines is enough to know whether we are the right people for it.
